– Samsung Smartcam Home SecurityProactive home security systems that combine AI and human intervention to monitor your home
You could state that Jeff Bezos (you know, Amazon guy) understands a thing or two about service. And Mr. Bezos is therefore considered the main investor in Deep Sentinel,1 an innovative camera-based home security system
that we just checked in our house.
p>
So naturally, we were filled with interest and concern. Can Deep Sentinel really protect our home and hearth? How does it compare to other popular choices we've used, like Vivint and SimpliSafe? And is Deep Sentinel's ever-vigilant nature worth spending hundreds of dollars on (it's not cheap)?
Samsung Smartcam Home Security.
Don't worry, we'll address all of these concerns and more. To foreshadow what is to come, we will say that Deep Sentinel is a whiff of new technology. This system actually has human guards watching over its electronic cameras, at all times, day or night, rain or shine. Each time a movement is identified, the guards assess the scenario, and if there is any danger, they can even go through the microphone to inform the criminal to get lost. You simply won't see this from any other home security company.
Samsung Smartcam Home Security.
It's not an ideal system - we have a few niggles to share. If you are concerned about protecting your home from intruders and burglars, and want the next best thing to private security information around your home, then Deep Sentinel is definitely worth a look. So without further ado, let's dive into our discoveries!

Deep Sentinel uses home and business security systems. All of Deep Sentinel's security systems use outdoor cameras connected to a smart center. When the electronic cameras detect motion, the smart hub's AI processes the video and decides if there is a potential security risk. After determining a reliable threat, the video camera feed is reported to Deep Sentinel's tracking center, where real guards oversee the video feeds 24/7.

Deep Sentinel: Plans and Pricing
While Deep Sentinel divides its solutions into household and commercial classifications for marketing purposes, the kits are equal in price and features. Financing is available for qualified buyers, but you will need to do a phone assessment to see if you qualify.
The cheapest set with a single video camera costs $399 for the devices alone. This includes a smart hub, wireless video camera and lawn sign. A comparable three-camera kit costs $699 and a six-camera set costs $1149.
Samsung Smartcam Home Security.
Monitoring fees start at $60/month for a single video camera. Each additional camera comes with a regular monthly fee of $20, so you'll pay $160/month to track a six-camera setup. This makes Deep Sentinel significantly more expensive than the majority of home security systems.

Deep Sentinel: how it works
Installing a Deep Sentinel security system is quite simple. You download the app to your phone, create an account and, following the on-screen instructions, connect the smart hub to your wireless network. Installing the camera is also simple. As soon as you install it, you're triggered to match the camera to the center, then you do a live video and audio test with a Deep Sentinel representative to make sure everything is working as expected.
The more cameras you install, the faster your internet upload speed should be. Each electronic camera requires 1.5 Mbps, so a six-camera setup requires a download speed of 9 Mbps.

When everything is established, whenever there is a possible security issue, you will receive a notification on your phone and remote representatives will inspect the camera. If it is simply a postman, a delivery, or a false alarm, the remote agents will not intervene. If there is any unusual activity, they will speak to the unexpected visitor via the two-way speakerphone before reporting the situation to law enforcement if necessary.

Deep Sentinel: Features and Services
Deep Sentinel's cameras are exceptional. They record in 1080p high definition and include a speaker and microphone for clear two-way communication with live Deep Sentinel representatives. Upon identification of movement, the electronic camera lights up with a provocative red glow. There's a built-in 104dB siren to keep bad guys out. The rechargeable batteries last up to 9 months, and you even have the option of purchasing a solar charging kit from Deep Sentinel.
You can return and review all motion events through the Deep Sentinel app. The daytime and nighttime video quality is exceptional, and in the recorded video, you can clearly hear every conversation visitors had with the remote reps. The smart center AI also impressed us, as it almost never gave false positives from stray animals or passing cars and trucks.

Privacy Concerns p>
Trust us, one of our biggest issues was privacy. Allowing human guards to view our live video in our home left us a bit vulnerable at first. We found the personal privacy settings.
There is an area in the Deep Sentinel app where you can set "Privacy Mode" - from 5 minutes up to 24 hours - on each of your video cameras. When personal privacy mode is enabled, it stops sending video stream to guards; Simply put, they can't see your video even if they want to.

Privacy mode can be useful in a number of cases. For example, you might enjoy sunbathing in the yard and don't want to relay your tanned body to the Deep Sentinel guards. Or maybe you're hosting a party (post-Covid quarantine, naturally) and want to prevent arriving guests from activating non-stop signals and "validated" activity. We like the flexibility that Deep Sentinel offers here. We've actually seen this feature in indoor video cameras, like the SimpliSafe SimpliCam and the iOta Hub/Home Camera combo, but we rarely see it in an outdoor camera. It's another feather in the hat for Deep Sentinel.
The mobile app experience
With Deep Sentinel, what you see is what you get. Truth be told, in some methods we don't mind at all. As they say, often less is more.
On the app's home screen, you'll see a running banner of your recent activity, with a thumbnail image of the video and the name of the guardian assigned to it. Below, you'll find each of your cameras with battery status.
If you click on a video camera, you'll see a walkie-talkie icon that says "Press and hold to talk". It's your two-way conversation, which you can use to talk with visitors. If you tap More Commands, you'll have the option to activate the siren, set the activity zone for your motion zone, and you can also choose an active deterrent pre-recorded message (for example, “Attention: This location is under live security”).
Deep Sentinel: consumer support and assistance
Deep Sentinel has a community support forum, although it's pretty much dead, with less than 10 posts in the last year. There's a knowledge base that isn't particularly user-friendly, but it does consist of a collection of helpful setup guides and videos from Deep Sentinel staff. There's a 15-minute DIY setup video from the CEO that walks you through all the steps to setting up your home system and another that shows you the best places to mount your video cameras.
If you have any further questions, you may contact Deep Sentinel agents by telephone. During our tests, we found the agents to be courteous and helpful.

competition
Deep Sentinel is a relatively expensive home security system, mainly due to the high quality of the cameras and the 24/7 live. monitoring by real agents who keep tabs on all movement on video feeds and will respond to visitors. SimpliSafe is a more affordable option (starting at $229 and $14.99/month) that works by using entry sensors, motion sensors, and glass break detection units. It also provides indoor cameras, but Deep Sentinel is a better option for outdoor security tracking.
Another competitively priced home security system is Frontpoint. Like SimpliSafe, it may have 24/7 remote monitoring, but the system solves for door sensor units, window sensor units, and motion sensor units. Bundles start at $99 and remote monitoring costs $44.99/month. Frontpoint is a great option if you want your home security system to integrate well with other smart home devices.

final verdict
If you need 24/7 live remote monitoring of your outdoor security cameras, Deep Sentinel is by far your best available alternative. During our selection, the system worked very well. Deep Sentinel's high start-up rate and ongoing maintenance costs may be a possible reason for the buyer waiting.
That said, while other outdoor home security systems can be set up to alert you when motion is discovered, just Deep Sentinel has trained security personnel who are waiting to review every bit of video for you. .

Deep Sentinel Frequently Asked Questions
The number of the Center will support?
Each Center can support up to 6 Deep Sentinel video cameras.
Is Deep Sentinel expensive?
Monthly monitoring starts at $60 and goes up from there. It's more expensive than conventional home security monitoring, but you have to remember that a similar personal system with 24/7 live security will cost upwards of $1,000 or more per month. We don't think Deep Sentinel is expensive.
Do I need to sign an agreement?
Yes, Deep Sentinel requires a one-year contract upon signup, although you get a free-trial contract.
Is the image quality excellent?
Yes, the Deep Sentinel video cameras stream in 1080p HD resolution, so we enjoyed the crisp image quality while experimenting with the gadgets.
How fast is the action time?
We typically experienced around 20-30second response times, which is the fastest we've seen in the industry. Since a crime in progress can be confirmed by a human guard, authorities are more likely to take it seriously and react quickly. Samsung Smartcam Home Security.
