The
audio jack
on a laptop or desktop system is one of the easiest ports to use. The drivers for this port are automatically installed along with the audio drivers. If you are getting audio from your speakers, the audio jack drivers have also been installed. Just plug in a device.
The audio jack on a laptop is usually used to plug in headphones or an external microphone, but you can also use it to plug in a pair of external speakers or to split audio between two different devices. Any audio device that can connect via a 3.5mm jack can be connected to your system.
