For most of its new hardware products, Dell gives you a 30-day window. You need the delivery note or the invoice to obtain a credit note or a refund for the returned goods. Note, however, that you will be responsible for return shipping costs as well as restocking costs charged by Dell, described later in the guide.

How to start your return request?
To return your products to Dell, you must obtain a CRA, i.e. a Credit Return Authorization issued by Dell Customer Service before the end of the applicable return period. Dell does not accept returns without an CRA number.

or see the "Contacting Dell" or "Getting Help" section of your customer documentation. Remember to ship the product to Dell within 5 days of the date Dell issues the CRA number.
Return to local store
To return items purchased directly from Dell without any hassle, follow the step below:
Step 1: Fill out the return request form, to start the process online

Step2: Coordinate with the customer service representative to resolve your issue and obtain ARC. The representative will also assist you with carrier pickup details.
Step 3: Repack the system with all of its original packaging, including all media, documentation, and any other items included in your original shipment, and arrange to ship it back to Dell.
Shipping costs are your sole responsibility. Don't forget to insure it!
Step 4: Once your system has been received at Dell, you will receive a credit for the total price of the system (excluding shipping and handling and applicable restocking fees) on your next billing cycle.
In case you lost the original packaging, you would be required to provide separate packaging.
Costs at your expense
Shipping and Handling Charges: In accordance with Dell's general return policy, any shipping or handling charges involved in the return of the product should be the responsibility of the customer only.
Restocking Fee: Dell charges a 15% restocking fee on all returns, including unopened hardware, accessories, peripherals, spare parts and software (even if in/unsealed packaging) and bundled software electronically that have not been uploaded. This 15% is calculated on the purchase price paid, plus any applicable sales tax.
If the product is defective or the return is due to an error on the part of Dell, the restocking fee is waived. p>
Currently, Dell is offering customers free return shipping on PCs, monitors, and servers purchased from Dell Outlet and may even waive restocking fees.

Return of promotional items
Dell continuously offers discounts and gift cards to its customers for promotional purposes. If you are returning a rebate-eligible item, promotional item, or promotional card (e.g., buy a service, get a half-price computer; buy a computer, get a free printer; buy a TV, get a gift card promotional item), you will also need to return the promotional item.
If you do not return the respective item(s) or have already used the promotional card, Dell may deduct the value of the rebate, promotional item or card redemption from any refund. you receive for the return of the purchased item.
