Hello Billy. I'm Greg, Installation Specialist and Windows MVP for 9 years, here to help. 1) For sound issues, try this checklist first:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/402699...
2) Restore Windows Service audio that may have become disabled:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/57567-resto...
3) Update the audio driver from the PC manufacturer's support Downloads the web page for your exact model, if it is newer than the one currently installed in Device Manager accessible by right-clicking on the Start button. While you're comparing to it, make sure you also have the latest BIOS, chipset, display, network, and all other drivers. 4) Right-click the Volume icon in the system tray, choose Sound Settings, from the Output and Input Devices drop-down menus, then choose the relevant device(s) to see if that helps . Otherwise, use the nearby Troubleshoot button. 5) Run the Sound Playback Troubleshooter from the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. 6) Try restoring the audio drivers in Device Manager accessed by right-clicking the Start button. Choose Sound controller and other audio devices, then the Driver tab, then Go back if available. 7) If there are no newer audio drivers, uninstall the currently installed one in Device Manager, accessible by right-clicking the Start button. Restart the PC to reinstall. 8) Also try other older drivers for your audio controller model. For example, try the next oldest driver in the model's online support downloads list. To try all previous drivers installed on your system, in Device Manager, choose the Audio Controller Driver tab, then Update Driver, then Browse, then Let me choose. 9) If this is due to Windows updates, you can check which ones have been installed in Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update under Installed Updates, then uninstall them from the link and hide them with Hide Updates tool downloaded from here:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2...
10) If this was caused by the version 1809 update (which you can confirm in Settings > System > About), you can roll back to version 1809 in Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, then hide- the until it matures using the Hide Updates tool downloaded from here:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2...p>
11) You can also use System Restore to get before the problem started and then check for updates with the Hide Updates tool and hide them:
http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-t...
12) Review this checklist to ensure the installation is properly configured, optimized for best performance, and any necessary repairs are made:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
Start with step 4 to disable bootable freeloaders that may conflict and cause problems, then step 7 to check for infection in the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged system files . Then continue with the other steps to review your installation more thoroughly. 13) If nothing else helps, run a repair install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing Upgrade Now. This fixes a lot of issues and will also put it to the latest version you need anyway and by the most stable method.

I hope this will help you. Feel free to ask questions and let us know how it goes. I will continue to work with you until the issue is resolved.________________________________________________________Standard disclaimer: There are links to non-Microsoft web sites.
