I originally bought it from Best Buy. I was really surprised at its power. The processor is an amd ryzen 4700u APU. It is able to do any productivity work like Microsoft Office with ease. Where it really shines is its ability to play games like Halo Master Chief Collection, or even GTA V at decent frame rates with relatively good graphics, while sipping power with a tdp of 15 W. No discrete GPU needed. Dell installed a 16 GB chip, but there is a second dimmer. I bought the exact same memory Dell used on newegg and now have 32GB of 3200MHz RAM running dual channel. I've had enough here to virtualize, so now I have a few VMs running. I wish the screen was brighter, but as long as you're not sitting on a park bench outside, it's not bad at all. For a screen of this size, anything bigger than 1080P would be a bit ridiculous anyway, so you'll probably find it works just fine. The keyboard is not bad. It's not perfect, but few are in this price range. The touchpad is responsive and adjusts to the hand size I want. The touchscreen works pretty well. I often use it in tent mode when traveling to play games using an xbox bluetooth controller. I wish they put a 1TB drive. I took a 1TB NVMe SSD I had in another computer as a game drive, and imaged it with the original image, so now I have 1TB, but 512 just isn't enough for me. it's not hard to do, but you could probably pay someone to do it for you if you're not keen on reading online forums. Battery life isn't amazing, but it'll get you through most of the day if you're doing simple office work etc. If you're playing demanding games with the screen maxed and the volume maxed out, you should expect more than 5 hours max. Despite what Dell says, you can charge via USB-C on this. If you have a Thunderbolt dock for, say, a work laptop, you can plug it in and most functionality will be dot-equivalent. You are limited on the number of monitors. I didn't like how Dell made the TDP non-adjustable. They probably did this because the cooling capacity this is rated for couldn't handle much more than 15W. Some computers allow changing it from the bios, but not this one. Just in terms of raw power for the money, this computer has an incredible processor. When paired with fast RAM, it can preform all Intel chips in the same price class. You get what you pay for.
