This is a very common problem.
You turn on your computer. Type the password, then the screen goes black.
Instead of taking you to the desktop, the screen shows a blank black screen. A Windows update, among other things, can be the cause.
This problem is easy to solve, but sometimes it can take time depending on the cause of the problem.

How to fix black screen after login
Graphics drivers
The first option is to restart your computer's graphics drivers. You can restart the display drivers with the Windows keyboard shortcut.

To boot into safe mode, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the computer. Then press the power button to turn on as soon as it shows Windows logo, press the power button again to turn off. Do this a few times and the third time it should enter Windows Recovery Mode.
Now select, Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options, followed by Startup Settings, then reboot. When your computer restarts, it will give you several restart options as shown in the image below. Select option 5 which says Safe Mode with F5 Networking will also get the same.
Your computer should now boot into safe mode.

If you can log in, you can now do a number of things like restore display drivers or restore system
Rolling back display drivers
If you can connect with the computer in safe mode. You can roll back or update your display drivers.
Go to this PC
Right-click on an empty space and select properties
Then select device manager p>
Then Graphics Cards
Right-click on Display Drivers and select Update
On the window that appears, select Search automatically for updated drivers

Update Dell or Rollback Display Drivers
If new drivers are available, your computer will download and install them automatically. Make sure it is connected to the internet. Now restart your computer and boot normally and see if you can connect.
If you fail again, you may need to roll back your drivers. To do this, follow the steps above but on number 5 instead of selecting update. Click uninstall driver. Windows will revert to base drivers
System Restauration
Another tool you can use in Safe Mode is System Restore. If you've made changes to your computer that you think are causing a black screen on login, perform a system restore. This will restore your computer to when it was working properly.

When you log into Windows Explorer, it is responsible for displaying the desktop and icons you expect. But if Windows Explorer does not start, you will get a black screen when logging in.
To start Windows Explorer,

On the task manager, select File then New
