A fully capable mirrorless camera from Sony who marketed this camera as an 'entry level' full frame camera. It gives you features that most professional DSLRs can't, all for a body MRP of less than 2 lakhs. My opinion on each segment of this camera: 1- Body: Sony claims that the body is made of magnesium alloy, which is dust and splash proof only. which most of us won't be. The buttons on the back are nice and clicky, with Sony following the same button layout as in the Sony A7R3, which has been much praised by photographers. electronic shutter, and has the same autofocus system in the Sony A9, which is an INR 3 lakh camera! It's insane! The cool part is that the AF points cover around 93% of the screen, so it's a great feature to have when recording video. It also has the legendary Eye-AF, which was introduced in the A7R3, and works brilliantly. One thing though is that you cannot use Eye-AF while recording video, it only applies to still photography. since it is backlit. And yes, it is! Low-light performance surpasses even the A7R3 and this camera. It's a beast in low light! Taking portraits should be easier as it has Eye AF, and it's quite ideal for photographing fast-moving subjects. Autofocus tracking is absolutely wonderful, and if you're using native Sony lenses you should have no problems. Another plus is this camera's crop mode, which only uses the APS-C size sensor. You can still attach your crop sensor lenses and still get awesome photos and videos without any vignetting. 4K 30fps and 1080p up to 120fps. And image quality seems a lot more improvised when compared to older models like the A6300. You also get all the professional picture profiles on video!4- Battery life: Since Sony uses the new Z series batteries for this camera, the battery life is significantly improved. I could shoot for an entire day (both clips and stills) and still had 30% battery at the end of the day. It's good to have one more battery.5. Who it's for: Well, for the features it offers, this is definitely a Pro camera. But at this price, it can be used by anyone who wants a full frame camera to start with! It's absolutely a Bang for the Buck camera (if not more) and a joy to carry around and shoot with! If you are a landscape photographer and want more megapixels than 24MP for cropping then I would suggest the A7R3 or even the A7R2! The A7R2 is still a very capable camera with similar features but abysmal battery life and average AF capability. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE SONY A73 TO ANYONE WHO HAS AN INTEREST AND THE BUDGET TO PURCHASE THIS CAMERA! ENJOY THE CAMERA! YOU ARE GOING TO BUY YOURSELF A BEAST!
